Server Install Notes – Upgrading Users Important! After upgrading an existing Vault installation to Vault 4.0, you will not be able to use previous versions with the database. Back up your database before upgrading to Vault 4.0! If you encounter any problems while upgrading, please contact us on our forum at http://support.sourcegear.com/viewforum.php?f=5Obtain a demo license You may obtain a demo license for Vault 4.0 by clicking here. You will be prompted for a login and password. Use the login “admin” and the password that you set in the installer.
Upload a Project If you are using Visual Studio 2005, it is highly recommended that you install Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1. If you need to upload a Visual Studio 2005 project, Open VS 2005 and load the project. In the Tools->Options dialog, click the Source Control tree item. Choose SourceGear Vault Visual Studio Client entry in the drop down.
Now you can right click on an item in your solution and choose “Add Solution to Vault ”
Select the destination for your solution in the Vault repository, and hit OK.
Now, when you open the solution from your disk, it should automatically connect to Vault, allowing you to use Vault as your source code control repository.

Installing the Eclipse plugin Vault supports an Eclipse plugin for systems with Eclipse version 3.2 and the Sun Java 1.4 runtime. To install this plugin in your Eclipse development environment, Choose Help->Software Updates->Find and Install… from the Eclipse menu.
