What's new in Vault 8?

Vault Cross Platform Client (CPC)

The Vault Cross Platform Client (Vault CPC) is a Java(TM)-based application which lets you access your Vault repositories from Mac OS X or Linux.

- Custom External Editors

- Improved Performance for Ghosted Folders

Added a new feature for custom external editors which allows users to configure their tool of choice for Diff, View, Edit, and Merge based on a file's extension.
There is now a new "File Properties" view on the side which provies all relevant data for any single seleted file in Repository Explorer's File View.
You will notice improved performance for the Repository Explorer when it is configured to display non-controlled (or ghosted) folders.
A new option allows users to hide Cloaked Folders from Repository Explorer's Folder View.
You can now invoke Explorer Working Folder from the Repository Explorer's File View.
Vault Visual Studio Enhanced Client :
- Query on Corresponding Work Items
- Required Fields are now Indicated
When viewing the At-a-Glance report from wihtin Vault Pro's integration, cliking the numerical count now queries for the corresponding work items.
Vault Pro's integration now display an indicator of the required fields when viewing work items.
Vault Command Line Client (CLC):
- FINDLABELS Command
- New Encoding Options
- Additional options for UNDOCHECKOUT
Added a new "FINDLABELS" command which will search for labels with applied to a folder and any sub-items.
Added a new "encoding" option to change the output between ASCII, UTF-8, Unicode, or UTF-32.
Added options to the UNDOCHECKOUT command to leave, revert, or delete the file left on disk.
